Good Sunday evening! Scattered showers and storms will begin weakening throughout the late evening and overnight hours. Expect mostly cloudy skies tonight and a low in the upper 60s.
On Monday, there will be a small chance for a few scattered showers, but they will mainly impact only portions of the southernmost counties in Central Alabama. These showers will quickly end by the early afternoon and clouds will begin clearing. Expect highs to be in the upper 80s with lows in the upper 60s.
After an upper-level ridge begins building over much of the Southeast on Tuesday, temperatures will start rapidly increasing and the rest of this week will remain dry. Although the highs by mid-week are predicted to top out in the mid to upper 90s, relative humidity values are expected to be low. This will keep afternoon heat index values from reaching critical levels.
